OBJECTIVES: Margot Trip aims to evolve with the global entertainment make and market models - to create new models of production, productivity and partnership with purpose and profit - no AI did not write this. I, Cecily Gambrell wrote this. Following Covid, having become what I call dual industry citizen -- entertainment and motorsports -- the company goal is to see, seek and find new models that allow us to continue to collaborate and create.

Cecily Gambrell

I was on stage and acting at my grandmother's theater in Carmel, California by the age of six. In junior high I had my first product idea: Casually Big Cookies. My sister and I also found in ourselves budding child capitalists. During one such burst of genius  we colored her green with a Crayola marker and solicited passing cars for funds to "help this alien get back to its home."

Show, and business are definitively in my genes. Some where between family tales of great aunts Gypsy Rose Lee and June Havoc, and spending summers in Los Angeles, meeting the likes of Hampton Fancher and David Carradine...and not knowing who they were, to years later, being Gregory Peck's executive assistant (my great aunt worked with him in GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT), to working hard enough and well enough in physical production to be trusted with a 10-Ton Paskal truck and Panavision cameras on my first short film in 1999 (that's like getting a Maserati when you turn 16), to this very moment... as I put together the puzzle of life that is in my lap, I clearly see, and now fully believe: everything truly does happen the way it should.

I am third generation Californian. I grew up between the Monterey Peninsula and Los Angeles. My dreams began in the north. My career looked a little different than my dreams as it began in the south. I didn't start in acting. My big break came when I was hired as a glamorous production assistant on my first studio movie, Paramount Picture's ESCAPE FROM L.A. in 1995.

Today I am a creative entrepreneur, a produced writer, a distributed producer who has sold movies, and an actress. at heart I have a genuine love for both art and the art of commerce.

I have 24+ YEARS entertainment industry experience. I am inventor, entrepreneur and general broad about business with 17+ years entreprenuerial experience in business and product planning, modeling, and development, and active small corporate operations. The latter in the entertainment industry as founder and CEO of The Film Emporium: A Motion Picture Co., Inc. (dissolved 2012). Since dissolution I have been Malcolm Gladwelling my way toward my goals. Margot Trip is my second production company. I have two certificate 'degrees' from Harvard online (edX) one from Harvard Law School in contract law, the other from in Leadership from the Kennedy School of Leadership.

I am president of Women In Motorsports North America (WIMNA) Monterey Chapter. WIMNA is non-profit whose missiong is to create expanded and opportunity and growth for women in all areas of the motorsports industry. I am also a volunteer at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
